Local Economic Impact & Procurement

At Troilus, we are committed to ensuring that the benefits of our mining activities are shared with the communities that support and surround our project. A cornerstone of this commitment is our focus on local procurement and maximizing economic impact in the region.

Since the company was founded in 2018, Troilus has invested over $120 million in Québec, including $86.4 million directly in Chibougamau. In the past two years alone, $36.5 million was spent on local procurement — with $21.4 million in Chibougamau and Chapais, and $2.7 million in Mistissini. Today, 65% of our total corporate spending is allocated to local businesses.

These investments support jobs, strengthen local service providers, and contribute directly to regional economic growth. As the project advances, we will continue to prioritize partnerships with local and Indigenous businesses and remain transparent about how and where we spend.

If you're a local supplier or entrepreneur interested in working with us, we invite you to reach out. Our Community Engagement team can help guide you through the process and notify you of upcoming opportunities. If you are a Cree-owned business, we have a Procurement Qualification Form available to support your participation.
