At Troilus, environmental stewardship is fundamental to how we operate. From project design through to future operations, we are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint, protecting ecosystems, and advancing clean energy solutions in alignment with Québec’s sustainability objectives.
Troilus benefits from an existing 50MW substation and 85 km of transmission lines connected to the Hydro-Quebec grid, which has the potential to provide a sustainable source of low cost renewable energy for the future mining operation.
We’ve already implemented a hybrid renewable energy system on-site, which includes 500 solar panels (producing 222.5 kWc) and a 15 kW wind turbine. This system reduces reliance on diesel fuel and provides backup power to support our ongoing activities. Our goal is to minimize our reliance on fossil fuels and find ways to reduce GHG emissions through use of renewable energy sources.
